The manicure painting technique is a wonderful way of creating life
like finger and toe nails on your modern dolls. It's a simple method
that gives stunning results. Give it a go to add a new dimension to your dolls hands. |

1. Polish the bisque hands and feet with a grit scrubber or bisque
sander until you have a really smooth finish to the porcelain. Take the effort to give extra attention to the nail areas. Wash grit and dust away with warm water, then towel dry.
2. Mix Pink Innocence or Whisper Rose with Lip Medium or
Shading Medium to a creamy constancy. Use a Lip Brush to paint the whole nail area with a light, smooth even coat. This is the overall nail colour. Fire to 720șC/Cone 018.
3. Mix French Tips with Lip or Shading Medium to a medium
consistency. Use a Petite Detail or a China Feature Brush to paint the cuticle areas in 1/2 moon crescent shape and the nail tips a natural shape. Fire to 720șC/Cone 018. |
